In Search of the Best Place to Do High School Sports?

Maybe you still have options.  You have yet to choose a high school where you will utilize your athletic abilities to the utmost.  Or you’re either a freshman or sophomore and have the opportunity to switch schools.

Then by all means, if you’re not there already, find a small school known for its athletics in your state, or elsewhere.  And if you have yet to decide, move to Texas; more specifically, move to the small town of Refugio which has produced some of the best athletic performances in the state (all classes).

Why?  Or how? That’s what you do. You don’t spend a lot of time just thinking or regretting where you are.  You play.  You join a team.  You contribute.

It’s too hot there, you say.  Answer:  Not true, or better said, there are lots of places in the US that are hotter.  Actually, the climate n Refugio is predictable and highly supportive of outdoor activity.

And there are jobs in Refugio, or nearby; if necessary, you can work and live 20 to 30 miles away and still attend the local high school. Also, bus service to and from the high school will likely be available.

But be prepared.  You WILL do sports.  Or else, you will not do much of anything.
Most of all, the benefits of attending Refugio High are unparalleled.  You simply cannot find them anywhere else. I know. I've lived in lots of places, but I grew up in Refugio, Texas.

Godspeed!
